Trip to Kerala - God's Own Country

Places Covered : Mumbai - Cochin - Munnar - Periyar - Kumarakom - Kovalam - Trivandrum - Mumbai

Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai
After arrival at International Airport in Mumbai, you will be find there Travel Horizon India Representatives to greet you and your family. After that you will be escorted to the hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02 : In Mumbai
After hearty breakfast at hotel depart for the pleasure trip to Elephanta. Dating back to the 7th century, the cave temples on Elephanta dedicated to Lord Shiva contain some of the most splendid sculptures in the Deccan region. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of the Mumbai. Visit the Gateway of India, built to commemorate the royal visit of George V and Queen Mary in 1911. Stop by the Dhobi Ghat and the Flora Fountain.  Drive down Marine Drive; pass Chowpatty Beach and the Parsi 'Towers of Silence'. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 03 : Mumbai / Cochin
After hearty breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to the airport to connect flight to Cochin. On arrival in Cochin, Travel Horizon India Representatives will assist you to transfer to the hotel. In the evening, attend a Kathakali dance performance. Spend overnight in Cochin.

Day 04 : In Cochin
After hearty breakfast in the morning, enjoy guided city tour of Cochin including St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Mattenchery Palace and Chinese fishing nets. In the afternoon you are free for independent activities. Spend overnight in Cochin.

Day 05 : Cochin / Munnar
After hearty breakfast in the morning, drive to Munnar. Upon arrival, Travel Horizon India Representatives will assist you to transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, Visit the Tata Tea Museum and boating in the lake. Spend overnight in Munnar.

Day 06 : In Munnar
Hearty breakfast in the morning. Full day free for independent activities. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 07 : Munnar / Periyar
After hearty breakfast in the morning, drive to Periyar en route visit a few plantations. On arrival in Periyar, Travel Horizon India Representatives will assist you to transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy the boat ride in Lake Periyar to watch wildlife. Spend overnight in Periyar.

Day 08 : Periyar / Kumarakom
This morning proceed to drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival Travel Horizon India Representatives will assist you to transfer to lake facing resort. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 09 : In Kumarakom
After a hassle-free breakfast in the morning, enjoy the full day sightseeing tour. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 10 : Kumarakom / House Boat
In the morning, Check in at the House Boat and cruise along the backwaters towards Alleppet. You will be passing through villages, paddy fields, markets, etc. Overnight on board Hosue Boat.

Day 11 : Arrive Alleppey / Kovalam
On arrival in Alleppey, disembark from House Boat and drive to Kovalam and on arrival in Kovalam, Travel Horizon India Representatives will assist you to transfer to the beach resort. Spend rest of the day free on the beach. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Kovalam.

Day 12 : In Kovalam
Hearty morning breakfast. Full day free for independent activities / Ayurvedic massage (optional excursion to Kanyakumari). Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Kovalam.

Day 13 : In Kovalam
Hearty morning breakfast. Full day free for independent activities / Ayurvedic massage (optional excursion to Kanyakumari). Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Kovalam.

Day 14 : In Kovalam
After hearty breakfast in the morning, enjoy the guided city tour of Trivandrum including visit to Temple and Napier Museum. In the afternoon you are free to enjoy on the beach.

 

Day 15 : Kovalam / Trivandrum / Mumbai / Depart
After hearty breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to airport to connect flight to Mumbai. On arrival in Mumbai, Travel Horizon India will assist you to transfer to hotel for wash and change (lobby use). After a farewell dinner, Travel Horizon India Representatives will assist you to transfer to international airport in time to connect flight for your home destination.
